FC Bayern in Russia - German club FC Bayern Munich closed out their unbelievably tough November schedule with perhaps the most difficult game of the season so far, a Eurocup road trip against favored Spartak in St. Petersburg, Russia (11.29). Spartak SP is currently playing three schedules, the Russian Superleague, VTB United League, and the Eurocup Competition (2-0 in Bayern's Eurocup Group G).
Defeating a battle tested Spartak team in St. Petersburg was a daunting challenge for Bayern. So the 75-62 final in favor of Spartak was not much of a surprise, but finding out that Je'Kel Foster only participated for 9 minutes of the contest was. According to reports after the game, the starting two guard for Bayern a severe ankle/foot injury in the 2nd quarter. A writeup (link - injury description) on Foster additionally states he will be out of action for several weeks, and that's a setback for Munich to lose one of their top leaders for most likely the remainder December's games.
Foster's injury in St. Petersburg, Russia was an unfortunate close to what was an awesome month for the native of Natchez, Mississippi.
