Location - Munich, Bavaria (Germany)
League - BEKO BBL (Germany's top division) & Eurocup Competition
Profile - It is a rare occurrence in European Basketball when a team moves up from the nation's second division to the top league and is automatically considered as a contender for the title. Such is the case for Je'Kel Foster & his new club Bayern of Munich, Germany. FC Bayern Munich is well known throughout Europe due to its exceptional football team, but strong backing & support for Basketball in recent years has many talking about their hardwood squad as well.

Roster - Munich won the second division league title last season which gave them an automatic promotion to the first league (BBL) and also a surprising wild card entry into the Eurocup Competition (Europe's second best superleague). Bayern then proceeded to put together a roster for this upcoming season that is stacked with big names in German Basketball. Led by famous National Coach Dirk Bauermann, Bayern's roster includes German National team veterans Steffen Hamann (G), Jan Jagla (F/C) , Demond Greene (G), a promising young German talent in Robin Benzing (F), former German League Champion teammates Je'Kel Foster (G) & Jonathan Wallace (G), and last year's Big East Player of the Year Ben Hansbrough (Rookie G). Munich also signed post man Sherrod Ford in the off-season, but Ford left the club during the preparation period which promoted Bayern to sign another one of Foster's teammates from that 2009 Oldenburg Championship team, Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje (C). Sweet Sponsorship - A nice relationship with several sponsors including Audi has allowed Bayern to do it big for their new season in the BBL & Eurocup. Munich has received brand new uniforms and will play their home games in the revamped Audi-Dome Arena. Each player was also issued handover vehicles from Audi. Check out the video.
