(Evan Turner with his brand new #12 Sixers NBA Jersey!)
As expected the Philadelphia 76ers selected Ohio State Star Evan Turner as the #2 pick at the 2010 Draft! It seemed like Philly & Turner had their eyes set on each other immediately after the draft lottery. Evan even said before the draft that he would be almost shocked to not end up in Philadelphia. While the announcement by David Stern was not a surprise for Turner, you know it was still an unforgettable moment for the young stud out of Chicago, Illinois.
The Illedelph is a great spot for Turner, and honestly was thought of as an ideal placeseven before the draft lottery. We have no doubts about the hardworking fans of Philly appreciating Evan's approach for the game and overall flare. (The Sixers have some talent with a good look at coach in Doug Collins.)
Evan Turner is the sixth Buckeye to get drafted into the NBA since 2007. And there are now 7 former Ohio State players in the National Basketball Association.
