Sweet! Who cares about a lockout when you can hang out with superstar Kobe Bryant in Athens, Greece? Ohio State Buckeye Jon Diebler joined Nike organizers and guest of honor, Kobe Bryant, in Athens to open the new House of Hoops retail store. Diebler and Bryant judged a youth dunk contest during at celebration. This event was apart of Kobe's fall overseas Nike promotional tour. What an unbelievably cool experience for Jon to be directly involved in a historical event with the game's biggest star! "Kobe Bryant began his tour in Athens as the guest of honor at the House of Hoops at Footlocker store opening. The basketball star greeted fans who had gathered outside the new store from early in the day to welcome him.
Fans at the opening had the opportunity to compete in a dunk contest starring young ballers of who hoped to impress Kobe. Along with the basketball player Jon Diebler, Kobe judged the contest and presented prizes for the evening’s most amazing slam dunks." (link)
