
As we always say, it is amazing how the game of basketball can open up so many avenues for an individual. These opportunities can include media exposure, networking, world travel ect..
One of the most crucial aspects of being a Rookie is getting used to the nuances of the pro game as a business and lifestyle...the travel, contract situations, nutrition, language barriers, cultural differences & being away from home etc...All that stuff is very important, because when it comes to the former Buckeyes, once they get comfortable as pros, it is a wrap for the on court competition.
In February of 2010, former Ohio State teammates Cherise Daniel & Andrea Walker were in the stretch run of their senior seasons (a Big 10 title btw!) A year later, both are currently experiencing international hoops for the first time.

Quakenbruck is one of the better squads in the DDBL 2. North Division. Early game reports noted that TSV wanted to slowly integrate Daniel (pictured left: 2.27.2011) into the team. The local media reported that she would be a good fit after progressing nicely form game to game (with minimal minutes - Articles: one, two)

On February 27 TSV Quakenbruck played rivals & top ranked Osnabrucker in a home Derby matchup in Artland Arena. The top story of the game was Cherise Daniel's explosive 22 point performance in just 22 minutes of play. The versatile guard hurt Osnabrucker from every where on the court, including three 3-point makes form long range. With time expiring, and the scored tied at 68, Cherise capped off her rookie breakout game with the game winning steal & layup!
