- Memphis point guard
Mike Conley Jr. was held out of Saturday's contest
vs the Charlotte Bobcats due to
soreness pretty much all over after a hard foul by Carlos Boozer in the previous game vs Utah. Earlier in the week it was
reported that Conley was already dealing with nagging pain in his right shoulder, add the hard fall against Utah and that is more than enough reason to shut things down for a game or so & rest up.
-Oklahoma City Thunder Head Coach Scott Brooks gave Rookie
Byron Mullens meaningful minutes on Saturday (January 9th) vs the Pacers when he inserted the big man at the 7:20 mark of the 2nd quarter. Byron responded by scoring his fist points in an NBA regular season game, two in rhythm mid to long rang Js setup by Kevin Durant. Mullens also grabbed three boards & had one assist.
Oklahoma City 108 Indiana 102
